Paint
Paint is also not accepted for recycling. To prepare your paints for trash collection, please follow these guidelines:
- Latex Paint: It must be dried out thoroughly before putting it out with refuse. Mixing kitty litter or a product obtainable in the paint department of hardware or home improvement stores for solidifying paint will help it dry out quicker.
- Oil-Based Paints: The Public Works Department will continue to collect oil-based paints as long as the lids are secured and cans are placed in an open cardboard box.
Styrofoam
Styrofoam Recycling Discontinued at Community Center
Cleveland Heights has been informed by CuyahogaRecycles that they will no longer be picking up or disposing of Styrofoam from the Community Center drop-off station. It will also not be picked up in curbside recycling. These items are no longer recyclable and should be disposed of in the regular trash.
