Cedar Fairmount Traffic Study Meeting
   Event Date: 11/30/2009
Location: Cleveland Heights Community Center, One Monticello Boulevard at Mayfield Road
   Time: 7:00 pm
Comments: The City of Cleveland Heights, in partnership with the Cedar Fairmount Special Improvement District, received a $75,000 Transportation for Livable Communities Initiative grant in late 2007. The grant monies were to be used to undertake a Traffic Study for the Cedar Fairmount Commercial District and the area known as Top of the Hill. Consultant Michael Baker Jr., Inc. and City Architecture were hired in 2008 to conduct this study.

The purpose of the study was to improve pedestrian, bicycle and vehicular traffic in the area and improve our connection to University Circle, as well as to create an enhanced identity for the area through a streetscape concept.

The public was invited and encouraged to participate in this process. Two public meetings have been held. The first focused on the existing conditions and creation of goals to guide the planning. The second meeting focused upon initial proposals and their appropriateness for the city.

The third and final public meeting regarding the Cedar Fairmount Traffic Study will be held: Monday, November 30, 2009 at 7:00 pm at the Cleveland Heights Community Center (Monticello Boulevard and Mayfield Road). All are invited to attend.
