The Division of Refuse/Recycling provides curbside collection of solid waste, recycling materials and yard waste for approximately 15,500 homes, schools, religious institutions, day care centers, condominiums and 211 apartment buildings weekly. All solid waste is transported to the transfer station, where it is compacted into transfer trailers and transported to landfills.
The City provides once-per-week service to residents for collection of household refuse, recyclables and yard waste.
Normal collection hours - Monday through Friday between the hours of 7:00 am and 3:00 pm. Materials intended for collection should be available for collection by 7:00 am on the day of collection.
