The City of Cleveland Heights

Our community of Cleveland Heights is mourning the loss of Cleveland Heights Police Officer Thomas Patton, Jr., who died in the line of duty in pursuit of a suspect on the night of Saturday, March 13.

This wonderful young officer was devoted to our residents and our entire community. He took seriously his commitment “to protect and to serve.” Officer Patton represented the Cleveland Heights Police Department and our community with distinction.

On behalf of the people of Cleveland Heights, we offer our sincere condolences to his family, his friends and his fellow officers. They will all remain in our thoughts and prayers in the days ahead.
